Equine-assisted Counseling
Ages 10+ (children under the age of 10 can be evaluated for safety and appropriate for equine therapy).
This is an experiential form of counseling in which horses are involved in the sessions. “Experiential” means that you will be involved in hands-on experiences with the horses exercising free will, designed to reflect things going on in your life. The process is about providing you the opportunity to experience, explore, problem-solve, discover, be creative, gain insight and experience practical applications of what you are learning in the moment. The process is about “doing” along with the “talking.”

Traditional “In Office” Counseling
If you prefer the horses on the wall in a painting, instead of live action, we have an office in the barn too. We offer many different types of traditional “in office” counseling, including, but not limited to: Individual, Couples, Pre-marital, and Family.
Our counselors work to build a caring, trust-based relationship with each client. The counselor’s role in this process is to act as a consultant offering information, observations, ideas, and encouragement to assist you in addressing the issues about which you are seeking help. However, through this process, you are your own best asset. While the therapist may offer various types of counsel, they cannot do the actual work for you. This you must do for yourself. Usually, the more willing a client is to talk openly and honestly, complete homework assignments, and try new behaviors, the more successful the therapy progress. TeleHealth
Making professional counseling accessible and convenient - so those who struggle with life’s challenges can get help, anytime, anywhere within the state of Arkansas. We have been trained and certified through PESI, Inc., a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, to utilize telehealth for mental health services. Using a HIPAA compliant video-conferencing platform through the Simple Practice software client portal, you can meet with your clinician on-the-go from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device (iOS or Android) using audio and video over the internet.

Play Therapy
Ages 5 and above (at this time, we do not have offices dedicated to children under 5).
LinnBerry counselor, Pennie Berry, has been specially trained by John Brown University to use play therapy with children. Pennie also completed multiple years and hundreds of hours training in the nationally recognized Association for Play Therapy standards to obtain her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) certification. Basically this means that Pennie has completed a lot of additional training specific to therapy with children to further support your child in the therapy process. Children use play as their language. By using play in a therapeutic way, the therapist honors their unique developmental level and supports their abilities in helping through the play “language” of the child to better express themselves and resolve their problems.

EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
